The market floods with all types of electric knives many of which are cheaply made and will not last.

Powerful Performance

This blade delivers high performance with a powerful motor. The motor sees to it that the two blades will never let you down. The bread blade is meant for bread only. The carving blade will cut through the meat like butter. Just remember to use each of the blades for the intended purpose else you will jeopardize the performance.

The blades are from stainless steel. That is a quality that makes them able to retain sharpness for a long term performance.

Storage Tray

Storage of the knives is a major concern. Do you store the knife among the other utensils? Well, that is a question you need not ask with the Cuisinart CEK-40 Electric Knife. The solid wood butcher block gives for attractive and convenient storage either on the drawer or the counter top.

Ease to Use

The handle of the Cuisinart CEK-40 Electric Knife is ergonomically made. The handle is gentle to the hand and makes the knife balance incredibly. The handle is also convenient for use by both right and left-hand persons.

The manufacturer provides you with an instructions manual to guide you through the operation of the knife. The operations include blade release and the safety lock feature. It also includes a one touch on/off the trigger.

Cleans Easily

To clean the blade, I separate the handle from the blades and then separate the two blades. As a safety measure, you need to unplug the cord first thing before you even think of trying to remove the blades. The next thing to do is lock the safety button, and then you can go ahead squeezing the blade release button and gently pull the blades from the handle.

By sliding the rivet out of the keyhole, you will effectively separate the two blades. Now you are ready to clean the dishwasher however you do to have sparkling clean blades. The blades are also dishwasher safe. The handle is a whole need some caution as it has electrical parts. Submerging it in water will destroy the knife. Use a damp and not overly wet cloth for the handle and later wipe it dry.

  1. The knife works great but the handle will not line up with top cutout on the board to hold the handle because it seems the cord is too large to fit in the lower slot and the plastic folding base for the remaining cord is not easy to keep standing up.
